General Info
The development follows these rules:
the campaign's course is not to allow to oppose essentially against the book's description
the movie may be inspiration for anything, but does not need to inspire anything
custom ideas which expand the book but don't really oppose against it (ideas which are thinkable, but just not mentioned), are welcome at any time to make gameplay more intresting
In general, the quality of development should be very high. The cinematics are one thing we focus on especially and they will be realized with big effort and detailed scenery.
Spells overview of the Fellowship of the Ring
The spells are in development these days. Some of the spells are not very original yet as you will see and more or less token directly from Warcraft. We thank for any constructive comment for new spells or changes to the ones presented here; post your ideas here in the forum.
The level division probably will be the same as in normal melee maps, that means 3 normal spells of each 3 levels and one single level ultimate spell.

Throw stone Show details
The Hobbit throws a stone on an enemy unit, which will do little damage and stun it shortly.
Find enemies Show details

Frodo uses his magic sword Sting to find enemy units in his environment. As the level increases, more information about the enemies will be revealed and cooldown and mana effort decrease.
Hobbit size (passive) Show details

The Hobbit learns to take advantage of his small size in combat. Same effect as evade.
Inner Fire of the Ring (ultimate) Show details
Frodo turns his growing obsession of the Ring into unlimited violence at the battle ground. Highly increased attack damage, but Frodo takes constant damage over time himself.

Elven rope Show details
Sam inherited a special rope from his grandfather. It was told that it was made by forest elves. This rope has the special property that it will surround any enemy if it is thrown the right way. This ability's effect is equal to the ability ensnare; effect length will rise and required mana will sink with increasing level.
Healing herbs Show details
Sam is very educated concerning the use of healing herbs. The effect is like in "rejuvination".
Hobbit size (passive) Show details

The Hobbit learns to take advantage of his small size in combat. Same effect as evade.
Story from the Shire (ultimate) Show details
Sam tells a jaunty story from his homeland, the Shire which gives new strength and courage to the friends around him. Regenerates life points for all friendly units around him.

Throw stone Show details
The Hobbit throws a stone on an enemy unit, which will do little damage and stun it shortly.
Pocket Picking Show details
Merry sneaks to an enemy unit. If this unit holds any items, these can be snitched. Alternatively, you can also take life or mana from them.
Hobbit size (passive) Show details

The Hobbit learns to take advantage of his small size in combat. Same effect as evade.
Ambush (ultimate) Show details
Merry uses his small size so professionally, that enemys lose sight of him and he becomes invisible for some time. When he breaks this invisibility with an attack, he deals a massive amount of damage and all enemies around him run in fear of getting ambushed, too. Merry will do double damage to each of these frightened targets for some time.

Fireworks Show details
Pippin's may take advantage on the battlefield from his liking for firecrackers: He shoots a rocket, which will cause damage in the target area and release some smaller rockets which each will cause additional damage near there.
Strong Drink Show details
Pippin throws a beer mug into his enemies' face. Since these won't be as hard drinking as he himself, their move and attack speed will be decreased significantly.
Hobbit size (passive) Show details

The Hobbit learns to take advantage of his small size in combat. Same effect as evade.
Foolhardiness (ultimate) Show details

Pippin loses all his reason and batters his enemies without any consideration; attack speed increased massively.

Blind Show details

Gandalf blinds his enemies in a direction by a strong light and their movement speed will slow down and they will have a chance to miss their attacks.
Arcane Disarment Show details
Gandalf heats the weapons of the enemies surrounding him so they take damage over time and their attack rate is slowed down strongly.
Magical Barricade Show details
Creates a magical dome at the target area which enemies cannot enter and reduces all damage done to friendly units in it.
Flame Of Anor (ultimate) Show details
Gandalf shoots a beam of fire at an enemy unit, which will be cut from its environment completely by the flame storm around it and take much damage constantly. The flame storm grows the longer it exists and does damage to all enemy units around ist. Further, all units which get in contact with the source beam of the storm take damage, too.

Aragorn does a very hart hit that does area damage.
Art Of Combat (passive) Show details
Aragorn has been trained so well in sword fighting that he has a chance to do additional damage with each strike or to evade an enemy attack.
Call Of The Heir Show details
Aragorn reminds the friendly heroes around him with a special call, that he is the heir of Gondor, what will give additional strength and agility o them.
Whirlwind (ultimate) Show details
Aragorn whirls his sword with such a speed that all enemy units close to him take massive damage.

Skull Crush (auto-cast) Show details
Boromir swings his shield, shattering the skulls of enemies in front of him, stunning them and dealing damage.
Art Of Combat (passive) Show details
Boromir has been trained so well in sword fighting that he has a chance to do additional damage with each strike or to evade an enemy attack.
Horn Of Gondor Show details
If this horn sounds, all enemies around Boromir get scared because they know that powerful support for him may arrive soon. Reduces armor and attack rate of all enemy units near to Boromir and some soldiers of Gondor are created near to Boromir to fight for him.
Last Stand (ultimate) Show details
Boromir goes into a frenzy, increasing his damage and attack speed. If he should die while under the effect of Last Stand, he will be revived a moment later.

Story
Story like in J.R.R. Tolkien's book:
3000 years ago, the rings of force were given to the peoples of Middle Earth. An old poem says about these rings:
"Three Rings for the elven kings under the sky,
Seven for the dwarf lords in their halls of stone,
nine for mortal men doomed to die,
one for the dark lord on his dark throne
in the land of mordor where the shadows lie.
These rings give great power to those who wear them. But the poem continues and the last to lines are written in letters of fire on the One ring:
"One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them,
one ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."
With this ring's help, the dark lord Sauron started a war against the free peoples of Middle Earth. He could be beaten only because the ring was cut from his finger. Since this event, the ring is missing.
Sauron's body was destroyed, but his spirit continued to live and now he slowly gets to old power. He is searching for his ring, because with its help, he could again take corporal shape and make whole Middle Earth fall into darkness.
The wizard Gandalf found the One ring at a hobbit, some kind of small man, who found it by accident. The ring is indestructable using normal means, the only possibility to destroy it is to throw it into the lava of Mount Doom in Mordor, where he was made.
Now, a small fellowship starts on a secret mission into the center of the dark land, always pursuited by the servants of evil.

Story of the map:
Soon Frodo continues is journey from Buckland, now with the additional support of Merry. The hobbits travel on a devious route to Bree, where they want to meet Gandalf.

Story of the map:
The Hobbits meet at the guesthouse "At the Prancing Pony" in Bree a mysterious man who is called Strider and the Black Riders return.
Gameplay and other corresponding info:
Maybe after this cinematic, another playable map showing the way from Bree to the Weather Top will be added. At the moment, work on that map is standing still to save time and to prevent that the player has to run to much around and just fights against creeps like in the previous two maps. Story of the map:
By Aragorns guidance, the four hobbits arrived at the Weather Top, a mountain where they again hope to meet Gandalf. But the rest becomes a horror trip...
Gameplay and other corresponding info:
You have to keep the hobbits alive escaping from the Black Riders. Your only mean is the smaller size of the hobbits which makes them able to use some ways, tunnels and caves the riders can't reach.
An the end you have to set the riders on fire using Aragorn to scare them away.

Chapter 5: Escape To The Ford

Story of the map:
The Black Riders have been scared away for a short time, but they aren't beaten in any way: They again ambush the travelers some time later. The only hope for the wounded Frodo is to be brought to Rivendell as fast as possible - there remains not much time for the heroes.
Gameplay and other corresponding info:
Again escape as fast as possible, but this time with a target instead of a time limit. Also, the size does not help here, but only some hidings and the heroes' spells. The slowing factor is Frodo: He can be carried by the others, which will make him faster, but the carrying unit more vulnerable.

Chapter 6: The Council Of Rivendell (Cinematic)

Story of the map:
Rivendell is part of the Elve's empire. Frodo can convalesce here and even Gandalf returned. But the shadow of Mordor is expanding so Elrond, the lord of Rivendell, initiates a Council with representatives of all peoples of Middle Earth.

Story of the map:
The council of Rivendell decided to send a fellowship of 9 heroes on the dangerous journey to Mordor to destroy the ring. At first, they travel along the Misty Mountains south to the pass of the Caradhras.

RPG with all 9 Heroes and just because of this a challenge. Many additional ideas and story extensions shall ensure surprises and change.

Story of the map:
Chased by big hordes of orcs, the fellowship returned to the daylight. There only chance is an escape to the elves land Lorien.

After the successful escape from the orcs into the forest, you have to kill them all by the help of the elves before they can reach the inside of the forest.
